Christian Boehm Oriental Art was established in London in 1994 by Christian and Keeko Boehm. We are private dealers specialising in Chinese ceramics from the Neolithic period to the Ming dynasty; Korean ceramics, especially Goryeo celadon and Buncheong ware; as well as Chinese, Japanese and Korean Buddhist sculptures.

Christian Boehm received his BA, MA and PhD in Art and Archaeology from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London. He is the author of The Concept of Danzō: ‘Sandalwood Images’ in Japanese Buddhist Sculpture of the 8th to 14th Centuries (2012) and numerous articles. He is also a regular guest lecturer at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London.

Keeko Boehm received her MSc degrees in International Relations and Industrial Relations from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and co-founded the business in 1994.
